2 Timothy 3:1-4

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Colossians 3:23-24

Heady Righteous:

Heady righteous according to the IAMservant means you are right about something, but only as far as your opinion goes.

Examples of heady righteousness:

-One does not support gay marriage. 

*While is may be wrong to support gay marriage, constantly giving your opinion about why you're against it leads you to fighting it and making you feel good about yourself. You think you're serving the LORD and you're really not, but you're under GOD'S grace.

*Constantly telling people gay marriage is wrong. Posting it on Facebook, while lacking peace.

-Telling people truth, but doing it out of spirit wanting to be right as unto your head.

*Someone posts on Facebook:

You can live for someone, but are you willing to die for them? Are willing to suffer for them?

Are you willing to give your last for them?

-When someone is heady righteous, they feel good about themselves. It becomes more about the topic than about doing all things as unto the LORD.

*Heady righteousness leads to one loving their own selves. 


You're heady righteous if you

*Don't serve the LORD and instead constantly do good things to make yourself feel good.

*Judge people based on the standard of the world.

*Have urges to express your opinions about things to be right.

*Desire to be right about something without the wisdom of the LORD.
